Sein erster Hit war Sonnendeck: Einem größeren Publikum ist PeterLicht spätestens bekannt, seit er in der Harald Schmidt Show vom Ende des Kapitalismus sang. Damit war er im Jahr 2006 früh dran. Noch früher, auf seinem ersten Album fünf Jahre zuvor, widmete er sich bereits der elektrischen Zukunft unserer Mobilität.
Im Titel Elektroreise singt PeterLicht davon, das wir uns „irgendwann wiedersehen im Elektroland“ – und beschreibt damit das bis heute andauernde Warten auf eine elektromobile Zukunft. In den von Autos verstopften Großstädten wären geruchs- und lärmfreie Elektrofahrzeuge eine spürbare Erleichterung. Doch wer nicht zufällig in Amsterdam, San Diego, Stuttgart oder Berlin lebt und elektrisches Carsharing vor der Tür hat, kann von bezahlbaren Elektroautos und einem dichten Netz von elektrischen Ladestationen bisher nur träumen – oder eben singen. Let’s head to some place beautiful: PeterLicht in Electroland
His first hit song was Sonnendeck (“Sundeck”). German musician and author PeterLicht reached a wider public at the latest by the time he appeared on the nationally-broadcast Harald Schmidt Show singing about “The End of Capitalism” (Das Ende des Kapitalismus). He arrived at that party early – in 2006. On his very first album five years prior, he’d already devoted himself to the electronic future of our mobility.
In the title song, Elektroreise (“Electrojourney”), PeterLicht sang about how we’ll “see each other again someday in Electroland” – and described enduring the long wait for the electro-mobile future. In big cities clogged with cars, odor- and noise-free electric vehicles would provide palpable relief. Whoever happened not to be living in Amsterdam, San Diego, Stuttgart, or Berlin with electric car-sharing outside their front doors… well, until now they could only dream about affordable electric cars with a dense network of electric charging stations.
